Our pilot programme is focused on collecting samples from healthy dogs and dogs with suspected or confirmed cancer to evaluate the underlying molecular signals and further develop and validate our models.

Conventional veterinary diagnostics remain essential, but they often begin when there is already a clinical reason to investigate a tumour.
CaniSense takes a genomic, blood-based approach. Instead of relying on a single biomarker, it analyses multiple characteristics of circulating DNA — including fragmentomic and genomic signals — and combines them using AI.
Our aim is to provide veterinarians with additional molecular information that can complement existing diagnostic workflows.

Participation is designed to fit easily into the routine workflow of a veterinary practice.
Participating veterinarians collect blood samples from eligible dogs according to our provided Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and send the samples to testblu using the provided shipping materials.

The current pilot focuses on two main groups:
Healthy control dogs
Dogs without known cancer that can help establish a healthy reference group.Dogs with suspected or confirmed cancer
Dogs where cancer is suspected clinically or has already been confirmed.Collecting both groups allows us to evaluate the biological signals associated with cancer and develop and validate the CaniSense approach.
