Together with Fraunhofer HHI, testblu is advancing the AI layer of the CaniSense platform, with a particular focus on trustworthy and explainable AI (xAI) for diagnostic applications.

The collaboration aims to make complex AI predictions based on genomic and fragmentomic data more transparent and interpretable, enabling CaniSense to provide not only a prediction but also meaningful information about the biological signals contributing to that result.

This explainability layer is an important step toward clinically actionable AI-supported diagnostics and strengthens the scalability of our platform as we expand to additional cancers and other diseases.

testblu diagnostics collaborates with KU Leuven on research related to cfDNA fragmentomics and cancer detection, supporting the scientific development of CaniSense.

The collaboration focuses on understanding and validating fragmentomic signatures—such as cfDNA fragment-size distributions, genomic positioning, and other epigenomic patterns—and their integration with genomic features such as copy-number variations.

This work strengthens our approach to extracting more clinically relevant information from minimally invasive liquid-biopsy samples and supports the development of more accurate multi-cancer detection models.
